Jaycox Air Conditioning & Heating

We Keep You Cool!

Since 1978, Jaycox Air Conditioning, located at 13041 West Grand Avenue in Surprise, has provided families in the West Valley with friendly, professional air conditioning and heating service. Now, forty years later, the third generation of the Jaycox family – Jolene and Patrick Jaycox, along with their spouses – is at the helm.

“My brother and I took over the day-to-day operations of the company in January,” said General Manager Jolene. The siblings spent plenty of time learning from their recently retired father. “I’ve been here 14 years and my brother’s been here for 10,” she said. “We’re keeping the same values and principles that are so important. At the same time, we’re changing along with the technology and continuing to grow.”

In addition to complete air conditioning and heating sales and service, Jaycox Air Conditioning has a full “home performance” department. It isn’t just the main unit that controls your comfort, energy bill and impact on the environment. So many other variables have a significant effect on how efficiently your home handles the hot summers and harsh environment in Arizona. “We do insulation, water heater change-out, Aeroseal duct sealing, duct cleaning, sunscreens and energy audits,” said Jolene. “Especially now, with APS plans changing, the cost of electricity is going up significantly and so it’s important that people make sure their equipment is serviced because that will maximize efficiency.”

A home energy audit from Jaycox Air Conditioning is one of the most important things you can do for your home and your wallet. In an effort to minimize the sticker shock from the price hikes this summer, they have partnered with multiple utility agencies to offer the audit for only $99. After doing a thorough check using their specialized equipment, the information is uploaded to their utility partners and a detailed report is generated for Jaycox. At that point, they will give recommendations to best maximize your home’s efficiency. Multiple rebates are available but only if you have had the audit completed. “There’s no obligation,” said Jolene. “They may choose to do nothing but ideally, we find their most cost-effective way to reduce their utility bills. Sometimes, something sounds like a good idea but if it isn’t going to pay for itself, then it doesn’t make sense. We keep the records so anytime within five years they can call in and we can perform the work.”

There are also rebates available for programmable wifi thermostats. These allow you to control the temperature of your house from your phone even when you’re not home. With just a few buttons, you can lower the temperature of your house before you return without wasting precious energy and money while you’re not there.
