HANDCRAFTED LIVE EDGE FURNITURE

Many of the best memories are made at the dining room table. At Pathway Tables, located at 8612 B Owenfield Drive in Powell, you will find handcrafted live edge furniture that is every bit as memorable.

Live edge furniture keeps the original lines of the trunk along its edges, portraying the wood in a more natural, raw state. Store manager Sarah Hutson explained, “We cut a log into slabs and the entire slab is used to make the table, leaving the natural edge from the tree intact and only removing the bark. Live edge furniture keeps the shape of the tree as opposed to cutting off the edges and making them perfectly straight.”

Pathway Tables has been in business for three years, operating out of their shop in Upper Sandusky. They just recently opened the Columbus-area storefront, their first. “We wanted to broaden our reach with the showroom,” said Hutson. “We have a large variety of tables for people to look at there. Dining room tables, console tables, conference tables for the office or boardroom. The showroom is a good sampling of what we can make.” Other items like custom bars and desks are available as well.

Starting out, Pathway Tables founder, and Hutson’s father, John Joseph acquired all the wood from his own property up north, now he sources the wood from all over Ohio. All of the bases are also produced by Pathway Tables, so they are designed to fit perfectly with the tops.

One of the things that sets Pathway Tables apart is the uniqueness of each piece. There are no templates or molds. Whether you order something custom-made or find the perfect item on the showroom floor, you can take pride in owning something exclusive. Ordering a custom piece with Pathway Tables is easy and can even be fun. When you go to the showroom, Hutson and her team will help you choose the species of wood, the design style and the base. Pathway Tables can customize the size of the piece to whatever dimensions you need. Throughout the process, you are sent pictures so you can watch as your furniture dream becomes a reality. If you want to be more involved, customers are welcome to visit the shop in beautiful Upper Sandusky. You’ll have the opportunity to meet head carpenter Noah Lucas and be more hands-on in the selection process, even picking out your own slab.

If you want a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that will stay in your family for decades, visit Pathway Tables and find the perfect addition to your home or office.
